FAR 61.87 (d) identifies 15 maneuvers and procedures that a student pilot for single engine land must receive training and log to be eligible for solo. FAR 61.93 (e) identifies 12 maneuvers and procedures that a student pilot for single engine land must receive training and log to be eligible for cross country solo.
Not listed in the FAR is the maneuvering the student pilot needs to do with their trusty CFI during the pre-solo phase.
